12-Year-Old Student Arrested For Bomb Threat In Bonners Ferry

BONNERS FERRY, Idaho - The Bonners Ferry Police Department arrested a 12-year-old middle school student on Thursday in connection to a handwritten bomb threat on Wednesday.

The bomb threat on Wednesday happened just before 4:00pm and once police were notified, the entire campus of Bonners Ferry Middle School was evacuated. No device was ever found, however based on physical evidence recovered at the school, officer identified and arrested the suspect, who has not been identified because of his age. 

The student was released to his parents after basic processing and the case will be submitted to the prosecuting attorney for possible charges of making a false bomb threat, which is a felony.
