BENTON CITY, WA - On Tuesday in Benton City, almost 100 students spent the day out of the classroom protesting some school district decisions they think are not fair to anyone.

They are unhappy with all the changes made at Monday night's Ki-Be School District meeting.

The board decided on several things including eliminating the executive director position and moving the high school girl's wrestling coach to the middle school.

These changes has students and parents worked up.

"The school district has made so many district changes in such a short period of time and we don't know if it's because of their inexperience or if there's an agenda to just push us all out," said Melinda Reffalt, Mother of three kids in the district, she said with all the controversy and changes happening at school, her kids do not even want to go anymore and she has been having to home school them in some courses.

On Monday night, the district decided to eliminate Vance Wing's job as executive director in charge of curriculum and athletics now those duties will be distributed among administrative staff.

"They hear us but I don't think they're listening," said Savannah Barnes, Ki-Be High School Junior, one of many students protesting these changes.

Other changes include reassigning the girl's high school wrestling coach Holly Graham to the middle school.

In a statement, the district said it is not a demotion just a reassignment, but Graham does not agree.

"I believe they dislike me, why? Who knows," said Graham.

Earlier this year Graham filed a harassment claim against chairman Tim Cook after there were some issues between the two during his time as a volunteer wrestling coach.

Cook's daughter is on the high school team.  Graham said regardless of Cook's position every student and parent receives equal treatment.

"When I asked them to explain it more, we don't have to justify it, it's a reassignment," said Graham.

NBC Right Now spoke with Tim Cook Tuesday but he said the board answered all questions Monday night at the meeting and would not comment on camera.

Superintendent Wade Haun though did meet with several students Tuesday afternoon according to his office.
