Bozeman Commuter Challenge Starts Monday

Posted: Updated:
BOZEMAN -  A challenge is on the table for all Bozemanites to use alternative modes of transportation to get to and from work next week.

The test comes from the Human Resource Development Council and the Western Transportation Institute as part of the third annual commuter challenge.

Teams can register online to log their daily mileage using the methods of transportation.

Organizers said using alternative modes of transportation is good for everyone.

“If we get used to more alternative transportation, we don't rely on traditional modes, we can save money and reduce pollution,” said Linda Wyckoff, HRDC Strategic Resource Development Coordinator.

Last year 284 people logged more than 10 thousand miles during the challenge.

The challenge runs May 12 to May 23.
