New Education Program Integrates Online Learning

MISSOULA - Educators in Missoula are working on a groundbreaking new project that blends face-to-face with online learning.

SHAPE P20 is a graduate-level course offered by the Montana Digital Academy at the University of Montana.

The program gave K-12 teachers the tools to adds web-based education technology into the traditional classroom setting.

Teachers then implement what they've learned with their own students.

Bob Currie, Executive Director of the Montana Digital Academy, said, "It exposes the teachers and the students to a whole lot more resources that are online."

More than 40 Missoula teachers have participated in the program.

SHAPE P20 is funded by the Dennis and Phyllis Washington Foundation.
