SPOKANE, Wash. - Finch Elementary in northwest Spokane continues to undergo major renovations. The first parts of the school were completed back in 1923, and it was recently placed on the Washington State Historic Register.

While inside the school will be mostly new construction with modern day classrooms, the outside brick and façade of the building remains original. An old fireplace, ticket booth and projection room also remain inside the building. Classes are expected to resume following winter break on January 5, 2015.
