For the past past three seasons, Belgrade has owned their district. Three straight titles prove they're a consistently good baseball team. The Bandits do all the little things to win.
"A strength of ours is to run the bases at a high level. We never settle down and look good at that until mid June. That's going to be the same case this year. I think we've improved with the short game with the bunt," said head coach Johnny Graham.
"There's a lot of aspects that are confusing for some people but I think that's something that are coaches instill on us very well," said senior short stop Trevor Mahn.
Coach Graham always looks for his guys to be mentally sound.
"There ability to focus consistently. That's a question because they've made it a question at this point their their actions. We'll come out and own a practice we'll win a practice and then come out the next day and our minds are somewhere else," said Graham.
"Our focus comes and goes but I think once we get in the swing of things a little more start actually understanding the coaches are saying kind of what the program is all about," said Mahn.
The Bandits were the Class A state runner up last season. This season their goals are still high.
"Win as many games as possible. We want to win a district championship again. We want to win that for the fourth year in a row. If we get past that point then a state championship," said Mahn.
