Court Documents: Man Comes At Boy With Running Chainsaw As Form Of Punishment

Posted: Updated:
SPOKANE, Wash. -

Tuesday morning investigators, including a SWAT team executed search warrants on two homes believed to be involved in a string of recent burglaries. In all, 9 people were detained and Wednesday we learned two men were arrested.

41-year-old Robert Pearson and 40-year-old Dennis Blessing are now facing charges including trafficking in stolen property.

Along with all of the stolen merchandise, detectives also found a 12-year-old boy who told them he had been brought to the home as a punishment.

The boy said his father had dropped him off with robbery suspect Robert Pearson because he had been stealing and lying.

The 12-year-old, who has not been identified because he's a minor, says that among other things, Pearson forced him to pick up dog feces and threatened him with a running chainsaw.

The boy also said Pearson shoved him to the ground and told him "if you ever do that to your parents again, I'll chop you up. Do you want to go missing?"

Along with his other charges, Pearson is now facing one charge of felony harassment.

Detectives say the investigation is ongoing and additional charges could be coming.
