This Earth Day, the First Security Bank building in Downtown Missoula applauded by some of our state's top energy providers for going green.
Northwestern Energy officials said the building recently underwent construction to improve the buildings operations and significantly reduce energy usage. Improvements include new lighting, changes to the heating and cooling systems, and air sealing put around window panels.
The retrofit is part of an initiative by the Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliances to motivate building owners, and design and construction crews to revamp buildings to be more energy efficient.
