The Office of Sustainability at Montana State University is encouraging students to ride their bikes to school.
This week was the first bike to school week on campus.
All week, bicyclists were able to get free bike maintenance and snacks between classes.
Organizers said that they wanted to make their own week since National Bike to Work Day is in May, which occurs after classes are out for summer break.
"Here at MSU, we have a dedicated group of bicycle commuters who bike rain, snow, sunshine, wind, and we wanted to celebrate," said Kristin Blackler, who is the MSU Sustainability Director.
Blackler said that they had several hundred students participate this week.
Now, they are planning to starting have a bike to school week every semester.
