Our Lady of the Rockies Statue Turned Red After Prank

BUTTE -

According to the Butte-Silver Bow County Police Department, the "Our Lady of the Rockies Statue" turned red on Wednesday night after four young adults put cellophane over the white lights.

Undersheriff George Skuletich says the suspects, who are between the ages of 19-20, jumped over the fence and hiked up to the statue to complete the prank.

The red cellophane on the lights caused the statue to appear red for almost an hour.

Police stopped the suspects when they returned to their car.

No charged have been filed at this point.

Police say there was no damage to the statue or the surrounding area.
