Yellowstone National Park is opening roads to drivers this week.
Yellowstone is opening the road from West Yellowstone to Mammoth Hot Springs at 8 a.m. on Friday.
Visitors will be able to visit Old Faithful and Yellowstone Canyon.
More roads will open in May as plowing efforts continue.
Park officials said the east entrance is expected to open May 2 and the south entrance May 9.
The road from the north entrance to Cooke City is open all year.
Park crews and Montana Department of Transportation said they hope to open U.S. 212 over Beartooth Pass to Red Lodge by Memorial Day weekend.
Every year, Yellowstone crews plow snow and ice from 322 miles of roads and 125 acres of parking to prepare for the summer season.
