Charges are now filed against five people accused of helping a convicted rapist, who walked out of the Gallatin County Law and Justice Center in February.
Cedric Allen Standish-Codding, William Michael Smith, Tristan Kane Anacker, Andrew Charles Kranker, and Sherry Michelle Jackson are charged with obstructing justice, which is a felony.
Court documents said that all five assisted Kevin Anthony Briggs after he walked out the Gallatin County Law And Justice Center in hand and foot restraints on February 1.
Documents stated that Briggs went to Kranker and Anacker's home, which is just a few blocks away from the Law and Justice Center. That is where Standish-Codding cut Briggs' restraints off using a dremmel tool.
Paperwork also said that Standish-Codding gave Briggs $23, a sweatshirt and glasses before Smith drove Briggs to Missoula.
Anacker and Kranker are also charged with felony counts of tampering with evidence.
There are warrants out for the arrest of Jackson, Smith and Standish-Codding.
