Missoula County Sheriff's Deputies made 2* DUI arrests over the weekend (April 11-14th). 

Missoula County Courthouse:

  • Deputies and Detectives responded to Justice Court for a report of an individual attempting to flee prior to jail sentencing.  The individual was located outside of the court and was placed under arrest (4/14).

Florence

  • Recovered Stolen Weapon: a customer shopping in a Florence Sporting Goods store recognized a firearm for sale that had been stolen from his residence several years before. Investigators tracked the sale to an individual who admitted to stealing the weapon while attending a housewarming party (4/12).

9 Mile/ Grant Creek / Frenchtown 

  • Theft: A property owner in Nine Mile reported that unknown suspects stole their 1986 Polaris Snowmobile from private property. The date of the theft is unknown (4/12).
  • Drugs: Deputies stopped a vehicle for speeding 25 miles-per-hour over the speed limit near Mullan and Bidlake Roads. The driver was cited for possession of drugs and paraphernalia after a glass pipe and a bag of marijuana was seized during the stop (4/13).
  • DUI/ Failure to Yield to Emergency Vehicles: Deputies stopped a vehicle for failing to pull over for a fire truck that was running code with lights and sirens activated.  The driver admitted to drinking at a nearby bar and was arrested on suspicion of DUI (4/13).
  • DUI: Deputies stopped a vehicle after it swerved into a delineator post in a construction zone on I-90 near mm 82. The driver, whose license was suspended, was arrested for DUI 2nd offense (4/14).

Potomac / East Missoula

  • Criminal Mischief: employees from Cully's Bar in Potomac reported that a window was broken in their establishment as a result of an unruly customer that was asked to leave the bar (4/11).
  • Criminal Mischief: A resident on Discovery Way reported that their house was vandalized with toilet paper during hours of darkness. No suspects (4/14).
