Posted: Updated:

FROM THE SPOKANE POLICE DEPT: Just before 10:15 am Monday, Spokane Police responded to a report of a stabbing near the Bel Franklin Apartments (N. Division St./E. Spokane Falls Blvd.). Officers located an individual with a stab wound at this location.

The individual indicated he and another male were engaged in a physical fight and the other involved male had fled the area. Officers called medics and the male with the stab wound was transported to the hospital.

At approximately 10:30 am, Spokane Police received a call of a male with injuries (possibly stab wounds) near 600 N. Riverpoint Blvd., east of the Kardong Bridge. The individual was contacted by police and transported to the hospital. Police believe this individual was the other individual involved in the physical altercation reported earlier at the Bel Franklin.

Both males were transported to the hospital and will be interviewed by SPD detectives. Police believe this was an isolated incident involving these two individuals. No other individuals are believed to be outstanding.
