Belgrade left fielder Autumn Rollins has always loved playing softball. The senior is a three year starter for the Panthers. She has one goal that motivates her every day.
"Every since I was little I always wanted to go to college ball and going on and that gets me up every day and gets me going. Just the dream," said Rollins.
Rollins is so good because her teammates and coaches always know what they will get from her.
"Solid day in and day out. Just consistently comes ready to play. Even last year was a leader in the outfield. This year she'll even be more so," said head coach Justin Taylor.
She also has certain leadership responsibilities.
"Autumn has taken the Mom roll and she makes sure the freshmen and sophomores know what's up and the older kids and check and makes sure we're paying attention but she's just a really good team player," said senior Taylor Salsbury.
"When I come to practice I have to tell the girls that we're running I have to tell them I have to tell JV that this dugout is Varsity dugout and they won't tell them unless I'm there," said Rollins.
Rollins' will fulfill her dream and playing college softball at Big Bend Community College next Fall. She got quite emotional when committing.
"I was so excited I almost started crying my mom was next to me she was crying. I was shaking when I was signing I bet my signature was not very good. We went up there for a recruiting weekend and I stepped on that field and it was the same feeling when I step on the field every day here," said Rollins.
