Plans For Shelter And Rail Industrial Park Move Forward

KALISPELL -

Two big projects won over the Kalispell planning board Tuesday night and are now going to City Council for the final say.

Not a single person voted against plans for the rail industrial park northeast of town or the new homeless shelter for women and children.

Planning Director Thomas Jentz says one man did put it on the record that he is worried about what a second shelter on Fifth Avenue West would do to property values and public safety in the neighborhood.

City Council will see both proposals on April 21.
