SAGLE, Idaho - A fatal and serious injury head-on crash has killed one man and injured eight others, including five children, who all had to be transported to Kootenai Health. The crash occurred on Wednesday, November 22, the day before Thanksgiving, on Highway 95 at milepost 466.5, two miles south of Sagle, Idaho.
LAS VEGAS (AP) - Big box stores won't be the only ones offering discounts to shoppers in Las Vegas this Black Friday. Marijuana dispensaries in the area are rolling out deals, too. The Las Vegas Sun reports more than 40 dispensaries in the Las Vegas area will offer discounts on marijuana flower products, edibles such as chocolates, and concentrates.
MAR DEL PLATA, Argentina (AP) - Argentina's navy announced Thursday that a sound detected during the search for a missing submarine is consistent with that of an explosion - an ominous development in the hunt for the vessel and its 44 crew members. Navy spokesman Enrique Balbi said that the relatives of the crew have been informed and that the search will continue until there is full certainty about the fate of the ARA San Juan.

The New York Times reports his daughter, Aria Hendricks, confirmed his Wednesday death at a Manhattan hospital. He was 96.
MOSCOW (AP) - Russian baritone Dmitri Hvorostovsky has died after a long battle with cancer. He was 55. Hvorostovsky's office said in a statement Wednesday that the acclaimed singer "died peacefully" earlier and was "surrounded by family" near his home in London. "May the warmth of his voice and his spirit always be with us," the statement said.
BALTIMORE (AP) - Baltimore's police commissioner says a detective killed last week was slain a day before he was set to testify in a corruption probe into activities of indicted police officers. Commissioner Kevin Davis announced the revelation Wednesday, a week after the detective was shot in the head in a vacant lot. Rumors have been running rampant in Baltimore about the unsolved case.
SPOKANE, Wash. - Spokane County Sheriff's Deputies are investigating a reported armed carjacking that ended with one person being shot at a hotel in Spokane. The incident occurred just after 4:30am Thanksgiving morning at the Best Western on S. Geiger Blvd. According to authorities, a guest at the hotel came down to the lobby and appeared to have been assaulted.
MOSES LAKE, Wash. - Moses Lake Police Officers arrested 21-year-old Brittany Strong Wednesday morning after she attempted to sell stolen property via a Facebook buy and sell page. Just a week ago today she was arrested for stealing hundreds of pieces of mail in the Peninsula area of Moses Lake. Officers say they received several tips from our Facebook readers Tuesday that Strong was trying to sell two antique gold watches.
