Vehicle Rollover Into Canal Leaves One Child Dead And One Adult Missing

SUMMER FALLS, Wash. - A single vehicle rollover into a canal with a car carrying four people has left an 8-year-old child dead and one adult missing. The incident happened Sunday afternoon near Summer Falls State Park. Rescuers plan to be back out at the scene on Monday at first light to search for the missing adult.

When the car crashed into the canal, two fishermen were able to rescue two children from the water. Authorities who responded rescued a third child.

The three kids were taken to Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake. One 8-year-old child did not survive.
