SPOKANE, Wash. - The deadline has passed to sign up for coverage on the state exchanges, but there are a couple of exceptions to the rule.

KHQ talked with Curt Fackler from better health together about people who still can enroll for coverage. You want to have the social security numbers of everyone in your immediate family.

Secondly, you'll want to make sure you also have the last couple address you've lived at.

Third, you want to have a payroll stub or your tax return handy so you can list your monthly or annual income.

The process can take anywhere from 15 minutes to a few hours depending on your situation and, because this system is overwhelming and new to so many people, representatives from the Washington Health Benefit Exchange and Your Health Idaho are encouraging people to call with any questions.

Washington Health Benefit Exchange: 1-855-627-9604

Your Health Idaho: 1-877-456-1233.

SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash.- In mid-August the Spokane County Sheriff's office announced they're getting new helicopters. The new helicopters will replace the aging Air One chopper that the Sheriff's office uses right now. On Friday we got a first hand look at one of the two helicopters, which were donated by the U.S. Army and cost taxpayers nothing.
