Thursday's Butte Court Report

BUTTE -

A Butte-Silver Bow County judge denied the motion to lower the bond for Dale Wallace, who is accused of robbing the "Cards n Coins" store in Butte at gun point.

Judge Kurt Krueger denied a motion to reduce bond, submitted by Wallace's attorney.

Wallace is accused of robbing the Butte store, restraining the owner, and threatening the man with a gun.

Days later, Wallace and his fiance, Sarah Jo Johnson, were located near Portland, Oregon where they were involved in a standoff with police.

Wallace allegedly pointed a gun at police before being captured, while Johnson took her own life during the incident.

Judge Krueger deemed Wallace to be a threat to the community and as a result denied the motion.

Wallace remains in custody on a $150,000 bond.

A 25-year-old transient man charged with armed robbery pleaded not guilty in Butte-Silver Bow County Court Thursday morning.

Jacob Routon is accused of robbing a Lucky Lil's Casino last November with the use of gun.

Police say Routon went into the casino and threatened to shoot the clerk with the weapon, if she didn't give him money.

Routon allegedly left with a small amount of cash.

He was later charged with the crime, after being incarcerated for a separate issue.

He was arrested on February 6 for a revocation of a sentence.

Routon is being held on a $25,000 bond.
