Lolo students are learning more about their brain through an interactive exhibit from University of Montana's SprectrUM Discovery Area.
The group's traveling exhibit, "The Brain: The World Inside Your Head" is in Lolo this week, teaching students interactive lesson on neuroscience. Students learned a lesson using a giant brain, they tested their senses through different exercises, and used a ball to test their brain waves.
SpectrUM has been working for the last eight years to bring their exhibits to 60 different schools in 23 Montana counties.
"There's so much opportunity and such a diversity of fields that in rural places, and smaller places in Montana, it's hard to get exposure to everything going on," said Lily Haines with SpectrUM Discovery Area said.
The exhibit will be at Lolo Elementary School until Friday. This spring SpectrUM will also bring its exhibit to rural towns, including other Bitterroot communities, Bozeman, and Anaconda.
