Organizers announce the headliner of this year's River City Roots Festival in Missoula. Sam Bush, America's most well known bluegrass mandolin player, will take the stage in Missoula on Saturday, August 24.
He is the winner of the 2009 Americana Music Association Lifetime Achievement award and is a founding member of Newgrass Revival.
River City Roots Festival is an admission-free, community-wide celebration with more than 15,000 attendees last year. The Roots Fest has become the end-of-the-summer and welcome-back-to-college celebration for Missoula residents and University of Montana students.
Bush will play from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. The rest of the 2014 line-up will be announced at a later date.
