2 Car Crash On Highway 2 At Elk-Chattaroy Road

SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. - Emergency crews are on scene of a serious two car collision on Highway 2 at Elk-Chattaroy Rd. 

At least 2 people were taken to the hospital, however the extent of their injuries in unknown at this time. Troopers on scene said it appears that one of the drivers fell asleep at the wheel. 

Highway 2 is open and the Washington State Patrol is investigating right now.

    Cora Rose's life turned upside down after she and her family were in a terrible crash Sunday night at the intersection of Division and Sprague. Court documents show the driver who caused the accident, Tomika Smith, had several beers and smoked marijuana just hours before slamming into Rose's van at 50 to 60 miles per hour.
