Belgrade senior Trevor Mahn will play three sports this year: football, basketball, and baseball. He'll play baseball next year at Spokane Falls Community College. But America's pastime was not his first love.
"In my life basketball always went first growing up. I always enjoyed playing basketball. Most of my friends played basketball," said Trevor Mahn.
Mahn is as competitve as they come. But number 11 realizes why he's so good.
"I play sports to have a good time. I think to be competitive or be a marquee player in anything in life you got to have fun with what you're doing," said Mahn.
Mahn learned a lot from playing a fellow Central A school.
"Playing up in Browning a lot they just like to have a good time. I like to emulate that a little I've learned from them I think in playing up there," said Mahn.
His basketball coach has high praise for his senior captain.
"The most athletic kid I've ever been around. He can make plays that most players just think about doing and he does them but he's explosive he can take it to the rim he can score he can shoot it from the outside," said head coach Mike Deming.
His fellow captain realizes the commitment Mahn has for basketball.
"He's really dedicated to the in season sport that he's in even out of season I'd see him come in here sometimes during baseball when he gets the chance to work on any sport he's in working hard," said senior Shiloh Christopher.
"He's a baseball players phenomenal baseball player and he put time in it's not like he just showed up to the gym and thought he'd be good he took some time," said Deming.
