Flathead Valley Community College is applauding its alumni in the arts.
Tuesday was the annual alumni and ambassadors luncheon at the college.
This is the fifth year FVCC has celebrated alumni over a student-prepared lunch.
Past themes have been nursing, engineering, and manufacturing.
The focus this year is on the arts.
"It really is an extension of getting people engaged in the college and looking at us as a place to invest and also to be a part of and to reconnect," said Colleen Unterreiner with the FVCC Foundation.
Diners heard an instrumental duet as well as a panel discussion that included teachers, students, and alumni that are now art professionals.
The 2014 distinguished alumni award went to Frank Garner for his contribution to the arts after leaving FVCC.
