Det. Officer Placed on Leave after Underage Drinking Incident

POLSON -

The Lake County Sheriff says a detention officer is on administrative leave after authorities found him at his house with intoxicated, underage people.

Sheriff Jay Doyle said authorities dispatched to a noise complaint at the detention officer's Polson residence just after midnight on Tuesday.

Doyle is not releasing the detention officer's name, nor if he was drinking at the time.

He said it's standard to place employees on administrative leave whenever there are possible criminal charges pending against that person.

Doyle said the Lake County Sheriff's Office is now conducting an internal investigation.
