Animals Seized in Ravalli County

Posted: Updated:
RAVALLI COUNTY -

Ravalli County Sheriffs are investigating a suspected case of animal cruelty.

While there is not a good count on the animals yet, Undersheriff Steve Holton said deputies spent the day seizing a number of animals from a farm on Ricketts Road.

He said five deputies and several volunteers spent the day rounding up cows, sheep, goats, geese, ducks and chickens after neighbors tipped them off.

A felony complaint has been filed, but the owner's name is not yet being released. Holton said he is expecting to release more information on Tuesday.
