This week is Dr. Seuss's birthday week, and Flathead Valley Community College is helping more than 200 second graders get in the spirit.
About 30 FVCC students gave their time to read and perform for kids from five Flathead elementary schools.
The goal is two-fold: to promote literacy, and so the FVCC students can put in their hours and get closer to the semester goal of fifteen.
Tykes got to learn about music, math, and theatre-- just to name a few-- all through the eyes of Doctor Seuss.
"One of our underlying goals is to give back to the community and so there's no better way to do that than through service learning," said Wendy Jeschke, the service learning coordinator at the college.
This is Seussville University's thirteenth year at the college.
March 2 is Dr. Seuss's birthday.
