Rockslide On Highway 195

ROSALIA, Wash. - A rockslide blocked multiple lanes of traffic on Highway 195 Wednesday afternoon. 

The Washington State Patrol says several large rocks fell onto the highway between Rosalia and Plaza, blocking multiple lanes of traffic. One car hit the rocks and was not drivable. No injuries were reported. 

The rocks were cleared quickly and normal traffic resumed. 

The Washington State Department of Transportation will be removing the rocks from the shoulder with a loader.

    RIVERSIDE, Wash. - The severe windstorm which blew through the inland northwest on Wednesday, July 23rd with some wind gusts reaching 60 miles per hour, caused mass destruction and the largest power outage since the ice storm of 1996. Dozens of trees snapped or completely uprooted onto homes, cars and property in Spokane and surrounding areas, however, one community north of Spokane was really hit the hardest.
