BOZEMAN -

Gallatin County Sheriff Brian Gootkin says the man who escaped from the Law and Justice Center will return to Bozeman sometime this month.

Due to security measures, Gootkin says he cannot release an exact date.

Kevin Anthony Briggs was arrested in Portland, Oregon and waived extradition on February 25th in Multnomah County Circuit Court.

An internal review of the Bozeman Police Department was done after Briggs escaped their custody on February first.

Bozeman Chief Police, Ron Price announced on Monday that two officers, Lucas Chaffins and Tracy Senefelder are suspended from the department for two weeks without pay.

Briggs is facing four felony charges, aggravated assault, attempted sexual intercourse without consent, assault of a peace officer and escape.
