Posted: Updated:

Along with being a senior captain, Belgrade Senior Forward Tanna Holliday has a 3.93 GPA. She's self motivated, but recalls the time when she did not get an A.

"I've just always since I was a kid be the best. So even having a 3.9 GPA is like hard for me it was rough my sophomore year when I got my first B," said Tanna Holliday.

Her support from home has given her the encouragement to succeed.

"I have awesome parents that aren't they don't put the pressure on me to be great but they know I have greatness inside of me," said Holliday.

"Tanna is a phenomenal worker and the kid is just has a determination about  her and an heir about her that you're not going to hold her back from anything she's going to achieve and she will throughout her life," said head coach Shanna Smith.

Tanna plays volleyball in the fall, basketball in the winter, and track and field in the spring while maintaining a 3.9 GPA. Does she have a social life?

"The social life is definitely the last priority but I do have a social life but it's hard to balance it all but time management I definitely learned at a young age time management I was always involved in sports and trying to keep my grades up," said Holliday.

Coach smith says Holliday has one unique quality.

"She is the greatest arguer in the entire world. She will tell you but more times than anybody you'll ever meet. She will make her point one way or the other," said Smith.

And she will make her career mark, as she's been excepted into MSU's pre med program, wanting to be a dentist.

"My mom is a dental hygentist so I've always grown up loving the dentist and I've gone thru orthodontics I just love the dentist field but like I said I just like to be the best at what I do," said Holliday.
