BUTTE, Mont. (AP) - Police in Butte say a 32-year-old man bled to death after falling into glass from a broken window while he was too intoxicated to care for himself.
Butte-Silver Bow County Sheriff Ed Lester tells The Montana Standard (http://bit.ly/1pukSfw ) that Jeff Kraus died Monday at a Butte residence.
Lester says Kraus was highly intoxicated and most likely tripped, causing him to fall into the broken glass and severely cut his left wrist. The sheriff says medical crews were called at about 7:30 p.m. Monday, an estimated four or five hours after Kraus was hurt.
Lester says if Kraus had received immediate medical attention, the injury wouldn't have been fatal.
