Home a Total Loss After Fire

BIG SKY, Mont. -

No one was injured in a fire that destroyed a home in Big Sky.

Fire officials say two people were at the home painting a car when the fire started in the garage around 11 a.m. Wednesday.

Firefighters had a hard time fighting the fire because it was up a narrow road with many tight curves and they had to bring in their own water to fight the flames.  Two of the fire trucks actually got stuck in the snow on their way up the road.

Yellowstone Club Fire Department, the Gallatin Gateway Fire Department, the RAE/Sourdough Fire Department, the Central Valley Fire Department, the Hebgen Basin Fire Department, the Bozeman Fire Department, the Fort Ellis Fire Department, the Manhattan Fire Department and the Gallatin County Sheriff's Office also responded to the fire.
