The FBI extends a $10,000 reward for any information leading to the location and arrest of Kevin Briggs, a 28-year-old convicted sex offender who escaped from custody in Bozeman on February 1.

FBI agents say Briggs should be considered armed and dangerous and anyone who sees him should not approach him and call law enforcement right away.

Agents from the FBI office in Salt Lake City say Briggs may be traveling through Washington State or Oregon en route to California or Mexico.

On February 7, a federal unlawful flight to avoid prosecution charge was filed against Briggs and an FBI warrant was issued for his arrest.

Briggs was last seen at a bus station in Missoula on the evening of Feb. 1.
