City Could Pursue $4M Legal Action Against Carlyle Group

MISSOULA -

Missoula Mayor John Engen said it would cost more than $4 million to pursue legal action against the Carlyle Group.

At a public meeting on Wednesday, Engen and a team of financial and legal experts presented to city council different options for purchasing Mountain Water-- the city's water company.

The Carlyle Group, an international hedge fund, dismissed Engen's $50 million offer in January.
