MSU Launches Smartphone App

Posted: Updated:
BOZEMAN -

Montana State University launches a new mobile app for students, faculty and even visitors to access everything they need on the go.

People who download the app can see their grades, class schedules, dining hall menus, even the weather and snow reports.

University officials said this is the first phase in mobile development.

They said developing this app was high on the list of priorities because more and more people access the Internet on their smartphones and tablets.

Officials said it is all to help students succeed.

"We're working actively towards connecting students so they are more successful here at the university, that's the motivation behind the app," said Jake Dolan, MSU Web and Digital Communications Director.

MSU'S Bozeman, Billings and Great Falls College have the same app and university staffers said they clock about 1900 users between the three apps.

Right now the app is only available on Android and iOS devices.

Head to montana.edu/mobile to download the Ellucian GO app, then select Montana State University.
