UPDATE: Body Found In North Spokane Identified

SPOKANE, Wash. -

The Spokane County Medical Examiner's Office has identified the man found dead in a yard in north Spokane on Sunday as 50-year-old Lorin E. Cheyney. 

The Medical Examiner's press release noted that there were no injuries found on Cheyney, and the most probable cause of death at this point is hypothermia, though they are still awaiting toxicology results. 

PRESS RELEASE FROM THE SPOKANE POLICE DEPT: Sunday, February 2, 2014, just before 2:00 pm, Spokane Police received a call that a body was located in the yard of a residence in the 1200 block of E. Ermina in Spokane.

Spokane Police patrol responded, located the body of a male and SPD Major Crimes detectives were called out to investigate the incident.

The scene was processed by investigators and interviews were conducted with individuals at the scene. Additionally a search warrant was executed in order to obtain more information as to what may have led up to the death.

This is an on-going investigation. At this point, no arrests have been made in connection to this case.

    SPOKANE, Wash. - One man is in critical condition after a fight in downtown Spokane early Sunday morning, according to Spokane Police.
