Past Superintendent Comes Out Of Retirement For Bigfork Schools

Posted: Updated:
BIGFORK -

January 31 is Cynthia Clary's last day as superintendent of Bigfork schools, but her resignation was so sudden, a permanent replacement hasn't been found yet.

She's leaving because of a family medical matter.

Last Wednesday, the school board agreed to ask Russ Kinser to come out of retirement and be the district's interim superintendent.

Kinser was the superintendent before Clary was hired.

He'll only be working part-time though, and he starts this Monday.

"Even though he hasn't been working here for three and a half years, he's always kept in touch," explained Clary.

The school board also decided to hire a consulting firm, the same consulting firm that helped hire Clary three and a half years ago, to help with the search.

Clary says they would like to have a new, full-time superintendent on board by July 1.
