Belgrade forward Shiloh Christopher has been playing basketball for as long as he can remember. The senior says the game works as an escape.
"It's just definitely a way for me to get away from everything else if I had a hard day I'd go out and shoot hoops it's just been a way to be really relaxing and then once I started to get into a competitive nature I just love playing to beat that other guy and stop that other guy," said Shiloh Christopher.
Christopher's competitive. His style of play reflects that.
"All out all game long you just got to give it your all and do everything to make stops and make every possession worth wild," said Christopher.
"Shiloh's fun to play with because he can shoot. He can shoot on a consistent basis he's a good consistency point for us," said teammate Trevor Mahn.
"Well he's constantly moving. He doesn't take plays off He's great at defense," said head coach Mike Deming.
Number 33 also shines as a team leader. Coach Deming has certainly noticed.
"He's a great role model he does everything right. That's what you asked out of these guys. He's always leading by example," said Deming.
"His leadership is obviously huge. Huge portion of what we base out program off of. That rubs off on all of us," said Mahn.
Christopher is also smart. He plans on going to MSU majoring in mechanical engineering.
"Really intelligent kid. 4.0. I don't know if a lot of people know that but he's obviously pretty hairy. He's had a beard since he was in 6th grade too," said Mahn.
