A newly-created state suicide review team will study the recent teen suicides in Butte with the hopes of understanding why these incidents occurred.
The suicide review team was created by Governor Bullock in the last legislative session.
The six-person panel will review every suicide that occurs to better understand the factors and causes behind them.
State Suicide Prevention Coordinator Karl Rosston said that the group is still waiting on coroner test results to come back before they start the review process.
"We can start to form a picture of the sequence of events that led up to the suicide," said Rosston. "If we can identify factors early on, then we can start earmarking interventions toward that in order to prevent this."
