Airport Numbers Show A Decline In Missoula Travelers

MISSOULA -

The Missoula International Airport saw a 2% drop in the number of travelers catching a plane in 2013. The airport year end numbers, released on Monday, show more than 200,000 travelers got on and off a plane in Missoula in 2013. That's compared to more than 300,000 passengers in 2012.

Airport officials said fewer seats and flights were available in 2013, causing the decline in numbers. Despite last year's low numbers, they said with an increase in flights in May and June this year, they are expecting to see a record number of people.
