KALISPELL -

The man who was dropped off Sunday, January 5 in front of Kalispell Regional Medical Center after allegedly shooting himself in both legs is now in stable condition.

The name of the man is not yet released, but authorities say drugs are likely to blame.

Two other people dropped him off at the emergency room with a bullet wound that went through his right shin and pierced his left leg.

The Flathead County undersheriff, Dave Lieb, says they searched the car and found illegal drugs.

The Sheriff's Department is still looking into what charges these three may face.

Authorities do not know yet if the handgun was stolen.
