MT Army Nat'l Guard's 143rd Military Police Company to Deploy

BOZEMAN -

Thirty-five Montana Army National Guard Military Police are preparing to depart for training in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

The 143rd Military Police Company, which is based in Livingston, will leave Montana next week for Fort Dix, New Jersey.

The unit will extensively train for six weeks before deploying overseas, where they will spend the next year maintaining law and order within operating bases.

A departure ceremony will be held for friends and family on Tuesday, January 7, at the Belgrade Armed Forces Reserve Center at 2:30 p.m.

The soldiers will depart the next day, January 8, from the Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport at 7:30 a.m.
