Two New Charges Against Whitefish Wife

KALISPELL -

The Flathead County Attorney's office is waiting for the court to sign off on two new charges against the Whitefish woman who allegedly stabbed her husband back in November.

The deputy county attorney, Travis Ahner, says Annmari Newton is now looking at mitigated deliberate homicide and negligent homicide.

She can only be found guilty of one of these.

Ahner also adds that there is the possibility of an added penalty, part of a weapon enhancement.

This could mean another ten years onto her sentence.
