Bozeman Family Meets Son's Organ Recipient At Rose Bowl Parade

BOZEMAN -

The Rose Bowl parade was extra special to one Bozeman family this New Years.

Bryce Autry, 6, lost his life to Chiari malformation, meaning his brain had slipped into his spinal column in 2012.

Shortly after, his family decided to donate his organs to people across the country. On Wednesday, the Autry family got to meet one of the recipients of one of Bryce's cornea.

"I'm very thankful to the family because it helped me restore my sight," said Emilia Mijango, cornea recipient.

A floragrah in memory of Bryce was displayed in the parade, along with 80 others organ donors.
