First Night Missoula is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year and the festival is shaping up to be better than ever.

First Night Missoula is a family-friendly, alcohol-free celebration of the city's art and culture. It first began in Downtown Missoula in 1994. Now, the event has expanded to include UM Campus, Southgate Mall and Glacier Ice Rink

You can participate in Run Wild Missoula's New Year's Eve 2-mile Prediction Run at the PEAK Health and Wellness Center at 6 p.m., or head down to Glacier Ice Rink for two hours of free skating with your First Night button from 6 to 8 p.m.

Then, you can ring in the New Year with the Ed Norton Big Band at the UC Ballroom at the University of Montana from 10:30 p.m. to midnight.
