Police Arrest Motel Armed Robber

MISSOULA -

A judge sets bail at $50,000 for a man who allegedly robbed a Missoula motel at gunpoint on Christmas Day.

Court documents show Dustin Michael Cook broke into lockbox at the Brooks Street Motor Inn's and took out the money.

When a front desk clerk discovered Cook, police said Cook pointed a handgun at the clerk and threatened to shoot him.

Documents show Cook also took money from the register before fleeing.

Investigators said they arrested Cook after an Inn employee recognized his vehicle on surveillance tape at the time of the incident.

They also discovered Cook was a former employee at the Inn.

Cook is charged with robbery, and will appear in court again on January 14.
