    KHQ.COM - On Thursday afternoon emergency crews responded to a vehicle that crashed into the Spokane Valley strip mall on E. Indiana.

KHQ.COM - Late Friday morning a silver car driving westbound on Indiana had a yellow light while he entered the intersection. The driver of a maroon car was northbound on Hamilton anticipated the light turning green and ended up hitting the silver compact. 

The driver of the maroon car was cited for failure to stop at a steady red light. Traffic was rerouted for a time but is now back open.
 
The driver of the maroon car was transported to Holy Family Hospital with minor injuries.

Nashville fire department spokesman Joseph Pleasant tells the Tennessean newspaper that at least six to eight people were hurt and were being transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center. The nature of the injuries weren't immediately known.

    SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) - A former Spokane County Sheriff's deputy has been convicted of lying to fraudulently obtain federal assistance. The Spokesman-Review reports that a jury on Friday found former Spokane County Sheriff's jailer Donald B. Henderson guilty of stealing roughly $650,000 from the Social Security Administration and the Department of Veteran Affairs for more than a decade.
