Meth Bust Suspect Pleads Not Guilty

MISSOULA -

A man allegedly involved in a November drug-bust-turned-attempted-robbery pleaded not guilty to felony possession of dangerous drugs.

36-year-old James Mead entered his plea in Missoula District Court Thursday morning and is still being held at the Missoula Jail on a $150,000 dollar bond.

Court documents show, in September, Missoula detectives received a report a number of high-end firearms were stolen.

During an investigation, Mead was identified as a suspect.

Court documents show Mead was arrested for violating probation and during a search, a bag of meth was found on him.

Prosecutors say Mead is also under investigation in connection to the November shooting when an undercover officer was shot during a meth deal in front of Gold's Gym.
