Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport Sets Passenger Record

The Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport is on track to see more passengers than any other airport in the state.

Airport officials expect by next week, 885,000 people will fly in and out of the Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport throughout 2013.

The number of airport travelers surpassed those flying in and out of Billings earlier this year.

Officials said Bozeman's growth and tourism industry are the main reasons for attracting the high number of passengers.

"Tourism has been really big, especially winter tourism and summer tourism," said Brian Sprenger, Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport Director. "They have really prodded us along the last couple of years."

Sprenger said the Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport will also set the record for number of passengers in any Montana airport.
